Chicken Hatching Eggs
We keep a healthy 12:1 rooster-to-hen ratio, ensuring our roosters are happy and our hens are not stressed, while keeping the eggs well fertilized. Sold by the dozen, you can expect a barnyard mix of colorful eggs every order of hatching eggs.
Quail Hatching Eggs
Similar to our chickens, we also keep a healthy 4:1 male to female ratio, again, making sure that the males are happy and the females are not stressed. Also sold by the dozen, you can expect larger than average quail hatching eggs every order.
Our Chicken Flock
We are excited to offer fertile eggs. At the heart of our flock are French Marans Chickens, known for their feathered legs and large, dark brown eggs. Our four roosters are French Marans, and the rest of the flock include French Marans hens, Orpingtons, Easter/Olive Eggers, Welsummers, Legbars, Polish and Fayoumi. More pictures are available here:
Our Quail Covey
Our quail are Coturnix, (a mix of Jumbo Browns, Jumbo Whites, and Celadon). Their eggs are large, and our females lay about once a day. While not "free-range," they are kept in a very large enclosure and provided all the food and water they can eat and drink. We have a lot of success with these fertile eggs.
